FAQ’s

Acupuncture

Is acupuncture exclusively for the unwell?

Certainly not. Many individuals include acupuncture in their wellness programs as a proactive method to maintain health and balance. Preventative care is always superior to treatment.

Is acupuncture painful?

Acupuncture typically isn’t painful since the needles are extremely fine. Sensations vary upon insertion, from a tingle to warmth, but discomfort is rare, and practitioners ensure the process is comfortable using sterile, single-use needles.

What does Acupuncture entail?

Acupuncture, an ancient medicinal technique gaining modern popularity, involves inserting fine needles at specific body points. This stimulation affects the nervous system and prompts the release of the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals like endorphins and enkephalins.

Are the needles sterilized or reused?

No, acupuncture needles are single-use, sterile, and are properly discarded in a sharps container after each session.

Is acupuncture covered by insurance?

The extent of coverage is contingent upon your individual policy. There’s a possibility that your treatment may be included. We recommend reaching out to your insurance representative for clarity. If preferred, we can assist in verifying coverage for you. Outside of insurance, we gladly accept VISA, Mastercard, Debit Card, Discover, Amex, and cash as payment methods.

No matter the specific ailment, our primary aim is to attend to the individual and rectify the root imbalance.

How can you learn more about the treatment?

I invite potential patients to schedule a brief introductory consultation lasting between 15-30 minutes. This session is complimentary and provides an opportunity for us to meet and address any queries you might have.
